Review by KAMAU for Mirt’s Deli

Mirt's is a throw back to the old corner sandwich shops I remember back in my old neighborhood, both in the food and the appearance of the place. There are absolutely no frills here, but Mirt's has that "it" factor that is severely lacking in the states today ... customer service. You come through the door and you are always greeted with cheerful smiles and pleasantries. What's pleasant is also the food. Simple sandwiches, with fresh ingredients of which they are not shy with. I have not had bread as fresh as theirs in many years ... pile on some roast beef and swiss Mirt's way and you won't go away hungry. The soups are shear comfort too, and they offer simple asian faire as well, but that's all just gravy on their robust sandwich menu. If work has you stressed out, and you're in the neighborhood, pop into Mirt's for lunch and enjoy the service and an equally nice sandwich. I bet you'll leave smiling.
